Güneş Bayır has successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled "Low Dimensional Brain Connectome Representations For Alzheimer’s Disease Dementia" on July 2, 2025. Dr. Bayır has showed that human brain connectomes resside in low dimensional latent spaces and that the distribution over such a manifold roughly aligns with the disease stage when we consider clinical cognitive decline cases from SCIs to ADDs. Such a manifold representation would not only be a powerful diagnostic domain but also an invaluable space for observing changes in brain connectomes.
