I am a member of the teaching staff in the Computer Engineering Department of Boğaziçi University since Fall 2005. I am in the Software Engineering Research Group. I am also involved with the Complex Systems Lab (SoSLab).

I am a computer scientist who is interested in the social aspects of computing -- a multi discipliniary field that includes computer mediated cooperation & communication, virtual/digital environments, virtual reality, human-computer interaction (HCI) and much more. My present focus areas are:

• semantic web,
• social network analysis,
• virtual communities,
• visual languages, and
• digital inclusion.
